The Grounds

Burnham Upper school has extensive grounds, the site is large and has open playing fields and good access. The original school building was built in the 1960’s with new blocks for Science, Maths, Languages and a PE sports hall. The LA is currently exploring funding for new buildings as part of the building schools for the future initiative.

Students Work

At Burnham Upper School we are proud of the talents and the work our students produce. Across the range of subjects our students produce work of great quality, Art work is displayed through out the school and in local exhibitions, Drama productions allow students to develop skills and confidence. In design technology projects give students the opportunity to learn through developing their own ideas. For all students their learning is supported by knowledge of what they are being assessed on, what their personal target is and what they need to work on to achieve the target.
Our curriculum give student a good range of courses and students at BUS achieve with A* and A’s at GCSE as well as good A levels leading to University places
